Poetic Devices

Ø     Autobiography – A life account of a person written by the person himself.

Ø     Personification – When we take non-living things as a living being is called personification.

Ø     Similie [Indirect comparison] – When we compare two things using a words {‘as’/’like’} is called Similie.

Ø     Metaphor {Direct Comparison} – When we compare two things without using the word {as or like} is called Metaphor.

Ø     Alliteration – Repetition of the same sound is called Alliteration.
